Sakura Blossom Games has released a new game called Fairwood Retreat 87, which is version 0.3 Ch.2. The game’s plot revolves around FairWood Retreat 87, a horror adult visual novel (AVN) in which you play as a young woman attending her first summer camp. While she and others enjoy their summer vacation, it is only a matter of time before something goes wrong. As the evenings draw in, followed by the rising light, it becomes clear that this summer will be unlike any other they have ever experienced. Tucked handily away in the forest of Fairwood, with no town in sight, you come to the realization, You may have wished you had never visited Fairwood Retreat. The question is: will you and the others survive?
Fairwood Retreat 87 is set around the end of the 1980s in 1987, and is heavily inspired by both the horror and culture of the time period. The game’s key elements include horror, thriller, psychological, and mystery.

General Questions
What happened to the college AVN you were working on?
There are too many fantastic college/school-based AVNs to name, and some of them have done it quite well. When I initially started working on it, it was becoming increasingly popular, but the genre was not as saturated as it is today. In the end, I understood that no matter what I did, my game would lack originality because there are only so many “school” variations you can use. Furthermore, because creating a school/college atmosphere becomes such a large game, many developers become worn out and abandon their game as a result. Plus, we had the terrible years of 2020-2022, which didn’t help matters. So I decided to take a step back and focus on my primary interests, which are far more prevalent in this game than they were previously. An great time period established in the 1980s, combined with diving into your 80s horror themes, was the ideal decision for me. Plus, I can be more creative and enjoy what I’m doing without worrying about what a hundred other developers are doing at the same time.
Will there be NTR?(Does this mean that character love interests cheat on the primary protagonist, often known as the player (you)?
There is presently no NTR; nevertheless, thorough and constructive consideration is being given to a specific character “if” it is suitable and “needed”. This not only lends realism to that character, but it also offers one of the levels of drama that you could expect if a small group of individuals stay close together for an extended amount of time. If “that” scene proceeds in the manner described, we will provide an update here. However, careful and balanced consideration is being given initially. Currently, there is no NTR.
Will There Be Rape or Sexual Violence?
There will be no outright depictions of rape; however, it may be implied if necessary for story/past events. Any references or ideas will not be shown visually. Please be aware that we do not condone or promote any sort of sexual violence or prejudice against any person. This game is a work of fiction; any resemblances to yourself or individuals you may know are entirely accidental. Also, because this is a work of fiction, we do not encourage any repetition or replication of anything you see in this game in real life.
Will There Be Incest, Underage, or Bestiality?
No, this game will not contain any sexually explicit stuff. Each character is at least 21 years old.
Why don’t you provide actual forecasted release dates, or at least an ETA estimate?
From observing other excellent devs and personally observing other VNs, I’ve discovered that providing an exact release date puts a lot of pressure on us as developers, especially because we all have our own lives and are only human. There are many factors outside our control that can cause a delay, and I will not disappoint the audience by making promises that cannot be kept. Finally, I prefer quality over quantity and will constantly seek to improve, and setting deadlines risks lowering the quality and causing me to lose interest in this project, which I am really enthusiastic about.
